FILM CLIP: WFC Update
We continue to improve the model for making films on mobile phones. This video shows the progress of World Film Collective over the last 18 months in local reporting and community development with the focus on South Africa.
It mentions the young reporters who created over 100 videos at the football World Cup last year, the effect the workshops are having on local townships, and the skills young people are learning including the ability to reflect on their communities and get their voice heard.
Young film makers are using various methods to reach audiences such as YouTube and Cape Town TV. Emma Kaye talks on this video about another exciting distribution channel; Mopix.
Join the World Film Collective Community
We aim to create a vibrant international community through which dynamic individuals can connect with like-minded people who are passionate about giving young people a chance to express themselves through film. There are plenty of ways to get involved!
